The year 10/11 Boys Basketball finals ended in spectacular with an over time victory sealing the championships at the Wildcats Arena on Monday.
The event featured the finals of the Development and Elite League after the 3 weeks of league rounds were completed earlier in the term.
The Development League finals saw the top 3 teams playing off, and Farnborough dominated the round robin to take the golds, with Fernwood runners up and Top Valley securing the bronze medals.
The Elite league finals saw an epic semi-final between Ellis Guilford and Oak Wood with Basford team just taking the honours with a 17 � 15 victory setting up a final with Nottingham Academy who beat Bluecoat 23 � 11.
The final was an end to end battle with both teams scoring at will and trading baskets. The lead changed hands several times throughout the match, and as the final whistle went the scores were locked at 18 � 18.
2 minutes extra time followed and Nottingham Academy showed great composure to score 2 back to back baskets to take the title with a 22 � 18 win.
In the bronze medal match Bluecoat overcame Oak Wood with a 27 � 22 win
