Last Wednesday saw the Yr. 5/6 High 5 City Finals take place at The Nottingham Emmanuel School.
12 teams took part in the finals which qualified from the two City heats. This year saw an impressive 24 schools and 30 teams enter, a fantastic response!
The finals saw 30 matches being played during the afternoon on the 6 outdoor courts. Matches were umpired by The Emmanuel Sports Leaders and a round robin format was played to decide which teams progress to the play off matches.
There was some great Netball played this year with some impressive defending shown by the boys representing their schools.
Southwark Primary won their Bronze medal playoff match to take the third position, with Whitemoor missing quite a few chances during the final match. It was a very close final game but Fernwood took 1 shot on goal to finish the game 1-0.
The top 2 schools now qualify to the County Finals on Thursday 21st May.
Good Luck to Fernwood and Whitemoor Academy at the County Finals!
We look forward to seeing you all at the Yr 6 Girls 7aside Tournaments on the 3rd and 18th June.
