NOTTINGHAM ACADEMY WIN THIRD GIRLS BASKETBALL TITLE


Nottingham Academy won the Year 7 Girls Basketball Championship on 23rd March, adding it to the Year 10/11 and Year 9 titles secured earlier in the year.

The top 4 teams battled it out through semi finals and then medals play offs at the Wildcats Arena. After tasting defeat in the semi finals Big Wood and Ellis Guilford provided an end to end game with the result always in doubt until Big Wood hung on to take the bronze medals.

In the final Nottingham Academy took a strong first half lead, bur Emmanuel fought back well early in the second half to only trail by 4 points. Then Nottingham Academy found their stride again to take the title and gold medals with a 14 - 4 victory.
