Nottingham Academy secured their 11th City Championships title of the year taking the Year 8 Boys Basketball title on Monday 9th February.

With the top 4 teams from the league rounds playing off the play was always going to be of a high standard. Fast and furious play in the semi finals saw Nottingham Academy squaring up to Ellis Guilford in the final.

Nottingham Academy came strongly out of the blocks and brought their A1 shooting game with baskets dropping in at ease giving them a strong lead. Ellis Guilford, reigning champions from Year 7, fought back strongly but never managed to overcome the deficit and the Academy team went on to win 16 - 13.
