The 2014/15 School Sport year kicked off in great style with the finals of the Year 10/11 Rugby Union finals at Moderns Rugby Club on Tuesday.
After a series of qualification matches held over 2 weeks the medal play offs boiled down to a bronze medal match between Fernwood and Djanogly and a Grand Final with Trinity facing Farnborough.
The Grand Final was a full on fast and furious, physical affair with both teams fully committing themselves in all areas of contact. The first half ebbed and flowed but Trinity managed to get a foothold on the game and scored 2 tries in quick succession to take a strong lead into the half time break.
The start of the second half saw the Trinity caption take a nasty blow to the head and the game was delayed for a period of time to allow the due medical attention to be given and following the break Trinity put up a great defensive display to take the title from the defending champions, with Fernwood taking the bronze medals.
