THE SCHOOL GAMES ARE COMING TO THE NATIONAL ICE CENTRE


School Sport Nottingham, in partnership with the National Ice Centre, is bringing competitive ice-skating to the School Games calendar for the very first time!

Venue: National Ice Centre, Capital One Ice Rink
Date: Wednesday 13th February 2013
Time: 10.00am -12.00pm

This unique opportunity will allow children to access a facility unique to Nottingham and be able to showcase their skating skills. Could the next Torvill and Dean or Nottingham Panther be uncovered in your school?

This is a FREE competition at a World Class Sporting Venue!
Only 6 teams can enter, so early booking is essential
Teams of 12 skaters (6 boys and 6 girls)
Skills aimed at Years 4, 5 & 6
Aimed at schools that have previously been involved in the schools skating programme
Minimum of 5 main events (to include relays, lap race and ice hockey relay)
Ice skills events to include: figure 8, slalom and hockey shooting techniques
Arrive no later than 9.45am to allow time to put skates on and prepare for the competition
Low cost transport provided via Why Nott? Transport
Schools will be allocated to the competition on a first come, first served basis


Note: All usual National Ice Centre conditions of skating apply. Please refer to your Capital One/Why Nott? Ice Skating contract.
