Yesterday saw the Nottingham City Yr 5/6 Sportshall Athletics Finals take place at Southglade Leisure Centre. The schools competing in this event have qualified through from their cluster competition and a Semi-Finals event to be eligible for this Final.
The 6 teams from schools across the City battled it on a variety of track and field events which included challenges such as speed bounce, standing triple jump, relays and hurdles.
The girls teams from Old Basford and South Wilford put in some strong performances on the field events, and St Augustines Boys teams gained them valuable points during the track events.
A big thank you to the leaders at SR Educationwho helped officiate and run the field events.
Once the scores were collected they reflected how strong this field of athletes were with only 20 points between second and fourth place.
One team were the clear winners and will now progress through and represent Nottingham City at the Level 3 County School Games Day, at Nottingham University, on Thursday 14th February.
The results as follows:

2. St Augustines- 190
