The secondary schools athletics year championships series kicked off with a tremendous afternoon of quality athletics on 21st April at Harvey Hadden Stadium.

With all 14 City secondary schools competing, as well as the 3 local independent schools, the very best of athletic talent was on display.

After a close competition Bluecoat took the team gold, from Fernwood in second place and Emmanuel in third. The Boys High School and Girls High School took the boys team and girls team golds
