The City Next Steps Sports Acrobatics Championships took place on Wednesday 30th May at Ellis Guilford School and Sports College.
Two schools were represented, Fernwood and Emmanuel, both entering girls into the pairs Level 3 Next Steps Competition.
Emmanuel also entered the Level 3 Group routine and performed an excellent routine with some very nice held balances. Due to their commitment and great efforts, the Emmanuel group have been asked to perform at the upcoming Primary Sports Awards on 12th July.
In the pairs competition both schools displayed some lovely routines to music showing poise and control in all of their movements.
The gold however was awarded to Natalie and Emily of Fernwood for their delightful performance, showcasing their linked movements, controlled agilities and solid balances.

Next year we plan to run this competition again and enter into the County Sports Acrobatics event in March.
