The first ever City Schools Archery Championships was held in the stunning grounds of Wollaton Hall on Friday 18th May.

8 schools, Big Wood, Bulwell Academy, Emmnauel, Fernwood, Hadden Park, Nethergate, Nottingham Girls Academy and Trinity all brought teams of 4 archers who had been selected following every school holding their own school championships in the previous months.

The talent on show was immense and clearly many of the students had quickly developed a real feel for the sport and there were some very high scores with no small amount of bulls eyes!

In a closing scoring event the Emmanuel team took the gold, Hadden Park silver and Big Wood the bronze.
