The Year 3/4 City Tennis Tournament took place on Friday 10th February at The Nottingham University Jubilee Sports Centre.
15 schools received prior coaching leading up to the competition which helped prepare the children for the event and also aid the teachers in their knowledge and confidence in teaching the sport.
12 schools entered the City event and brought a team of 2 girls and 2 boys to represent their school. The schools were split into two leagues and played for 3 minutes each. The event was a great success with all the children participating and enjoying the matches. The children were encouraged to shake hands at the end of each game showing good sportsmanship.
The final playoffs were watched by all, with certificates being awarded to all that took part. The School Games Medals were awarded to the following schools for their final places-

Congratulations to Whitemoor Primary School on their win, they will now progress and represent the City at the County School Games day on July 4th.
