The Year 5/6 City Basketball Championships took place on Friday 18th November at Nottingham Trent University, Lee Westwood Sports Centre.
Seven teams from across the City took part and showed some excellent passing, defending and team work skills. The games were officiated by South Nottingham College students who refereed the matches and showed some good decision making skills.
The first qualifying games were played in a round robin style, before Burford, Haydn and Brocklewood moved into the Plate competition and Old Basford, St Marys, Robin Hood and South Wilford progressed to the semi finals. All matches were closely contended with some fast paced, exciting games taking place.
The plate tournament finished with Burford on top followed by Haydn and Brocklewood.
